Mountain Delights

I went to Mountain State Brewing Co. this weekend. They brew their own beer and root beer. I went with a glass of delicious bubbly sassafras brew. We sat on the patio at the white picnic table, ween above. We ordered pizza and it was INCREDIBLE, no wonder Kost had been talking about it for 24 hours. The Cuban was, surprisingly, my fave. We also ordered the Pesto & Prosciutto and the Fire on the Mountain. I want to know why pizza everywhere does not taste like this pizza. After being told three large pizzas would definitely be enough for the 8 of us, we had to order a fourth, another Fire on the Mountain, because we CRUSHED the first 3. Perfect for stuffing ourselves uncomfortably and for hot tub snacking later, too. While we were waiting for our last pizza and enjoying the incredible view the patio afforded, we noticed a man arrive from over the mountain and starting to descend. On a horse. 10 min later he had arrived at the restaurant and hitched what turned out to be a beautiful mule to the hitching post by the patio. He fed the mule a snack from his saddle bag and then walked his cowboy outfit and spurs to the bar on the patio for a cool draught. He went back to enjoy his ice cold beverage with his mule. Photo evidence above. Then, pizza arrived. After we all wished we had stabbed ourselves in the eyes instead of eating another slice of pizza/cursed the fact we had no more stomach room for pizza, we lounged on those porch chairs to recover from pizza coma. O yeah, and the whole time there was a man on a guitar singing and playing the most delightful blue grass music. Perfect mountain dinner.

Lola On A Rainy Day

Em texted this to me earlier this week, so RAINY! I really wish Lols had matching galoshes. Four little galoshes for four little paws.

Dino Bear

Finally, an illustration that shows how I feel on the inside. Can I have reassignment surgery to become this? Sent to me by a very savvy internet man.

KC is Trout. This is an Alaskan Rainbow Trout. I wonder how many different species of trout there are.

Can We Date?

Pulled from the expansive interwebs by Kissairis. So far, it's really helped me work through some life problems and enigmas. Click on the image to actually be able to read it. My favorite ending spot is "F*** that ghost" HAHA.

No Cable, No Problem

The title is misleading, no cable, lots of problems. But I will say that owning the entire Seinfeld series on DVD has been beneficial. All I did yesterday was lay on my face and watch Seinfeld complete with inside looks, notes about nothing, and commentary from cast, crew, producers, and writers. Then I went back to sleep after having been awake for less than 12 hours. Best. Sunday. Ever.

Restaurant Week, Summer 2010

It's restaurant week once again in DC. Oyamel tonight. I've been scouring their menu all day, can't wait!

Eery Otter

Em's response to the cryptic phrase "eery otter". So perfect, so in love. What do you think this guy's emotion is right now? Sleepy? Shocked? Shouting "I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALA!"? Em thinks he just woke up from a nap. Your thoughts, please.
