Pop Champagne

USA! USA! Great game again today, WE WANT CANADA. Almost was caught watching the game at work. Close call.

Speaking of Canadians, how about the Canadian women's team? They popped champagne, popped some brewskis, and smoked some sweet cigars. On the ice. WITH their gold medals on. Classy group of broads. Like the photo? Plenty more where that came from.

Speaking of popping champagne, how about Julia Mancuso. I felt for her after the giant slalom debacle, I truly did. But then she put that tiara back on and popped champagne on the slopes with her medals on and the disdain was back, full force.

I was really excited for Yu-Na Kim last night, she's adorable. And no champagne in sight. Speaking of figure skating, how about Johnny Weir. I would post a picture of his body painted gloriousness being interviewed by Dorothy Hamill, but blogger doesn't seem to want to let me format this post the way I want to. Now you will always wonder...or maybe I'll post it later.

DRAMA at work today! This letter from Wisconsin Congressman Sensenbrenner (R) accompanied by this press release really shook things up. I don't think I really need to comment too much on how I feel about this guy. Crisis team was assembled, PR consultant was contracted, pizza was ordered. The works.

Ladies and Gentleman, I Present to You...

Al Gore, We Still Need You

From a GMU study about Americans' climate change beliefs. I think the MOST interesting thing about these results, is apathy seems to have decreased. How unAmerican.

If you're interested, here's the full report.

This Blog Has Become Too Much About Me

For you, my love

This file was called "newboogies"

It's Heeeeere

Miracle arrived today. Each and every person I've ever talked to for more than 3 minutes can expect their personal invite to watch the movie together. One-on-one.

What else?
Well I'm still hot with rage, physiological anger, over the Russia game tonight. And in the middle of that FIASCO I found out that the NHL might make moves to keep their players out of the 2014 Games. Will the Russian players sit out the season to redeem their country on Sochi's home ice? My world is falling apart, one hockey calamity at a time.
The dentist lectured me today and gave me these little dye tablets that adhere to plaque build up. They were equivalent to the dye that squirts out of fire alarms to help nab the guilty party/hero. Except there's no hero in this situation. At least he took my TMJ seriously, looks like a night guard could be in my very near future. Eating Dagwood sized subs with ease? WORTH IT.
I've been eating office cheese.
I want to see the Czech Republic and Sweden win tonight. Fleischmann and Backstrom. DO IT!

I Was Hiding Under Your Porch Because I Love You

I found this dog on the interwebs by searching "muppet dog". Now she or he has become my whole life. Muppet Dog is the background of my g calendar, the first thing I think about when I wake up, the standard I hold all dogs to.

I will never ever learn how to spell "calendar".

I'm Worried About the Future of the World

Twitter has taught me not to think in 140 characters or more. Complex and profound thoughts need not inquire within.

Tell Me How You Really Feel

Sven Kramer had a tough tough situation tonight, but...I kind of think he dealt with it in true douche bag fashion. Am I right? Can I say that?

When they cut to the coach, head in hands, defeated, dejected, equally heart broken...really hard to watch. Bob Costas joked that they would need to set him up in the Netherlands' witness protection program because his athlete is SUCH a huge star over there. Thinking back to Colombia's Andres Escobar...it didn't feel very funny.

More Olympic thoughts:
Short track speed skating makes me want to claw my eyeballs out, it is SO VOLATILE, anything can happen. too. much. stress.
Ski cross is awesome.
Bode, you went out fighting tonight <3
Crosby, I cannot WAIT to see you on the ice tomorrow night.

See who Caps fans, players, and coach are rooting for!

"Laughing his head off, Semin duly committed Grant Theft Auto..."

I want Pat Collins to read this entire post back to me in his best reporting voice.

This should end any complaints that my blog is all pictures, no words. *COUGH COUGH*

Canada vs Russia

Enjoy your last game in the Olympics tomorrow night, Canadian men's ice hockey team
